Extra Small
For dogs and puppies that will have an adult weight under 10 lbs. This includes Chihuahuas, Silky Terriers, Yorkshire Terriers, Miniature Picschers, etc.

Small
For dogs and puppies that will have an adult weight of 11 to 25 lbs. Some examples include Toy Breeds, Shelties, Lhasas, Jack Russells, Dachshunds, Bichons, etc.

Medium
For dogs and puppies that will have an adult weight of 26 to 64 lbs. Some examples include Spaniels, Pointers, Dalmations, Airedales, Border Collies, Samoyeds, etc.

Large
For dogs that will have an adult weight of 65 to 149 lbs. Some examples include Retrievers, Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Old English Sheepdogs, Akitas, etc.

Extra Large
For dogs that will have an adult weight of more than 150 lbs. such as Great Danes, Mastiffs, St. Bernards, Newfoundlands , etc.

CAUTION:
Follow the instructions found in the Gentle Leader® manual carefully when fitting and using the Gentle Leader® headcollar on bulldogs, short nosed dogs or other dogs which have difficult breathing and limited airways. Even without a headcollar, such dogs often experience breathing difficulties when exercising or under stress. If your dog suffers from any breathing difficulties, please consult your veterinarian before using any headcollar.
